bas van raay: conceptualist

eindhoven

conceptualism denies any universal objects. bas van raay likes creating these conceptual objects. the eindhoven-based designer launched his new work, 3 Industrially sculptured objects, which evoke questions: just because it isn’t what it seems to be.

‘I am furniture’ was last week on show during the dutch design week. bas was exhibiting with his colleagues from the atelierdorp, a collective of designers, at the strijp x.

his aim is to affect other people. ‘when they see my objects, spaces or concepts they will think twice about what they just experienced’.
